I think it is really interesting to see how things have changed and how it can be hard to deal with the new technologies. I don't think that people should spend all their day on Facebook while at work, but why not allow people to check it from time to time (taking a little break?) and then be (more) efficient? Everybody needs a break: it use to be a cigarette break or a coffee break, why not a facebook or twitter break? That's assuming that people know how to manage their time and their priorities :)
